Still In Florida

I am just trying to avoid getting sick (Two people in the house have the flu) by popping
Airborne tablets. Tomorrow I am heading to South Beach with my brother to meet some friends from Connecticut. We scored a 4* hotel for $120 on Hotwire.com.

Yesterday, I was supposed to fly back to California but my brother and sister both talked me out of going. USAir's change fee (and hold time) was so ridiculous I just let my return portion of my ticket go to waste. Instead I called American and switched my flight to San Jose from LAX to Miami. That means I get to hang out with my niece and nephew longer. Last night I took the two of them to Ben & Jerry's for ice cream and guess who was making an in-store appearance? Ben!  Posted by Hello

Johnny Jet Takes Jupiter By Storm

Yesterday, I was taken (by a driver) to see the Cardinals and Marlins practice. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the Major Leaguers (just the farm system guys) because it was pouring. Instead of standing around in the rain, I went to the Burt Reynolds & Friends Museum (link http://www.burtreynoldsmuseum.org/) and took a quick tour. It was interesting but I don't think I would recommend it unless you are a big Burt Reynolds fan, or it was raining and you were really bored. However, I do recommend going to the Ritz Carlton Jupiter for a massage. It's not a hotel, it's a lifestyle and not just anyone can go-- you have to either have a membership, a timeshare, or a home. Cardinal's Manager, Tony La Russa Posted by Hello
Last night I went to a baseball dinner at Roger Dean Stadium hosted by the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches. Players/Coaches from both the St. Louis Cardinals and Florida Marlins were there to sign autographs and talk about their upcoming season.

I was one of the first travelers of the day to pass through CLT.  Posted by Hello

I am sooo tired!

I am so tired from getting only 1 hour of sleep from taking the dreadful red eye. I am now in South Florida where the days are like summer, as well as the Ocean. My goal is to stay up to 10 but I don't think that's going to happen.

I'm off to Florida

I can't take it any more. The rain just doesn't stop and I need to go somewhere. I was supposed to be on a flight to South Africa but my trip got cancelled at the last minute (long story). I'm bummed, but relieved I don't have to be on a 18 hour flight. I just found a cheap ticket online to leave tonight for South Florida. I priced all the airports and surprisingly PBI was the cheapest. I am off to catch some rays and spring training.

BTW: We just sent this week's newsletter

It's still pouring here but AmberMac (From Tech TV) and her sidekick's brought a little sunshine to Southern California this past weekend. I met Amber back in October while doing a travel segment on Tech TV (http://www.g4techtv.ca/callforhelp) in Toronto. The girl knows her technology and is the one responsible for this Johnny Jet blog. Check out her website: http://ambermac.com/
