I went to lunch last week at stadium club restaurant in the Home Depot Center (in Carson, CA). I went with my old friend Debbie and we were delighted how good the food was and how sweet of a view we had of the field.

We had our last softball game of the season yesterday. We lost in the semi-finals by one run to the team that ended up winning it all. That hurts. The good news -- I got to spend more time at the beach.

I can't thank Toshiba enough. They (Teri Bruno & John Kelly) just made my life so much easier when they agreed to replace my laptop without making me jump through hurdles. On top of that they hooked me up with Dr. Mel Raab from the Automatic Corporation in Beverly Hills (310-552-2101) who transferred my data to my new computer. I spent 9 hours with Dr. Mel as we waited -- talking about computers, travel, life, and his daughter’s column in the Daily Bruin -- for it to be completed.

It's Father's Day! Unfortunately, my dad and I are on opposite coasts. Happy Father's Day, Dad!

Flew JFK-LAX on Song (Delta's low fare carrier). Cost only $107 with taxes for the one way ticket (7 day advance purchase). I took the last flight out 9:45pm but didn't land until 1:30am PST because we were delayed an hour. I didn't care about the delay because the flight was great. It was only 1/3 full (had a whole row to myself) and the amazing in-flight entertainment kept me busy -- it has live TV, movies ($5 charge), video games, and music that allow users to make their own play list. On top of that the flight attendants were cool and offered tasty food for a charge.

It's really hot and humid here and the bugs are vicious! But that didn't stop us from playing golf and tennis.

Last night I went to NYC with my brother and a couple friends. We were down in the Meat Market District. The place was jumping. We had a late night dinner 11pm at Pastis -- a tasty French Restaurant.
