The Draycott Hotel in London

Cheerio from Europe! Last week I gave you part one of my trip to London, where I stayed at the prestigious Dorchester Hotel in Mayfair. This week we move across town to Chelsea and check in to an intimate and very English hotel called the Draycott. INTERVIEW: January Jensen

January Jensen
Best friends with rock legend Jim Morrison, Jensen provides a snapshot of their private lives on the road.
By Francis J. DiScala Jr. & Johnny Jet

His steel-blue eyes still glimmer mischievously, fueled by outrageous and historic memories of living through the '60s as Jim Morrison's best friend, chef, clothing designer, and wingman. And maybe his eyes shine partly because they are brimming with gratitude for knowing when to quit, when to put down the bottle, and when to nestle into a life that Jim never lived long enough to experience. "I quit drinking 20 years ago to keep my wife, and it probably saved my life." Read on...

Of course, I wasn't going to just go to Europe for one day like some of the other invited guests, so I made a two-week trip out of it. Here's part one of my trip, which includes staying at The Dorchester Hotel and attending a British Airways party. Read on...

Stingrays Out In Full Force in Southern California

Lots of stingrays are out in Southern California. I saw one while wading into the water after a swim in Manhattan Beach. Then my cousin Joe (pictured) confirmed my sighting when he caught two inadvertently (and released them) a few minutes later. For facts, figures and tips read this L.A. NY to Toronto on Porter Airlines

Greetings from Toronto! Last week I left off from the Big Apple, where I took a preview cruise of Norwegian Cruise Lines' Epic and did a travel segment on ABC News before flying an hour north to Toronto. I flew Porter Airlines, which is a great little Canadian airline that not too many people are familiar with. I have plenty of stories and pictures, so grab your bags and come for the ride—it's a smooth one. Read on

Thanks For The Memories George (& Bob)

I am so bummed to learn that George Steinbrenner has died ( along with longtime Yankees announcer Bob Sheppard ( who passed away on Sunday. Both of these men gave me so much joy – especially George. What “The Boss” did for the Yankees and baseball it’s only fitting that he had a massive heart attack the morning of the All-Star Game. He will never be forgotten.

Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum

I've always wanted to visit the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, which opened in 1982 and is located at Pier 86, at W. 46th Street and 12th Avenue. The museum is centered on the aircraft carrier Intrepid (CVS-11). She's one of the most successful ships in U.S. history and is now a National Historic Landmark. She began her duty in 1943 and served in World War II, was one of the primary recovery vessels for NASA, did three tours of duty off Vietnam, and performed submarine surveillance in the North Atlantic during the Cold War.
