Best friends with rock legend Jim Morrison, Jensen provides a snapshot of their private lives on the road.
By Francis J. DiScala Jr. & Johnny Jet
His steel-blue eyes still glimmer mischievously, fueled by outrageous and historic memories of living through the '60s as Jim Morrison's best friend, chef, clothing designer, and wingman. And maybe his eyes shine partly because they are brimming with gratitude for knowing when to quit, when to put down the bottle, and when to nestle into a life that Jim never lived long enough to experience. "I quit drinking 20 years ago to keep my wife, and it probably saved my life." Read on... http://johnnyjet.com/folder/archive/January-Jensen-2010.html

Greetings from Toronto! Last week I left off from the Big Apple, where I took a preview cruise of Norwegian Cruise Lines' Epic and did a travel segment on ABC News before flying an hour north to Toronto. I flew Porter Airlines, which is a great little Canadian airline that not too many people are familiar with. I have plenty of stories and pictures, so grab your bags and come for the ride—it's a smooth one. Read on http://www.johnnyjet.com/folder/archive/WheresJohnny07142010.html

Delta Air Lines has a great deal for anyone wanting a day pass to their Sky Club. There are 50+ all around the world and entry usually requires an annual membership or a $50 day fee. But for today only that day fee could be had for just $22 on Groupon.com. If you’ve never experienced the serenity of an airline club on a long layover this might be your cheapest opportunity. I’m about to snag a couple when I’m done posting this blog. Note: The pass expires on December 31, 2010 and you can’t bring a guest so buy a couple. To purchase log on to http://www.groupon.com/deals/delta-sky-club
Thanks For The Memories George (& Bob)
I am so bummed to learn that George Steinbrenner has died (http://bit.ly/dAMn22) along with longtime Yankees announcer Bob Sheppard (http://bit.ly/b0ZH3a) who passed away on Sunday. Both of these men gave me so much joy – especially George. What “The Boss” did for the Yankees and baseball it’s only fitting that he had a massive heart attack the morning of the All-Star Game. He will never be forgotten.
