Passports with Purpose began a couple years ago by four motivated travel bloggers — Beth Whitman, Debbie Dubrow, Pam Mandel and Michelle Duffy. The first year they raised $7,000 for the Heifer International and they began to increase attention by inviting their travel writing friends. That’s why I’m here and a ton of my travel friends. You see each blogger is responsible for securing a prize to thicken the pot and I was able to get Scott Jordan from Scottevest (yes, those handy jackets I talk about all the time since they have 19 plus pockets) a $150 gift certificate which is enough to get one or two Scottevests or buy 6 Scottevest baseball caps. It’s up to you.
For more information and to see all the prizes log on to the Passports with Purpose raffle site (PassportsWithPurpose.com/donate) — then enter to win for just $10 a chance. Thanks for supporting this collaborative endeavor to make the world a better place through travel.

Israelis are developing an airport security device
FINALLY, the Israelis are developing an airport security device that eliminates the privacy concerns that come with full-body scanners at the airports. It's a booth you can step into that will not X-ray you, but will detonate any explosive device you may have on you. They see this as a win-win for everyone, with none of this crap about racial profiling. It also would eliminate the costs of a long and expensive trial. Justice would be swift. Case closed!
You're in the airport terminal and you hear a muffled explosion. Shortly thereafter an announcement comes over the PA system . . . "Attention standby passengers - we now have a seat available on flight number XXXX. Shalom!" Hats off to the Israelis!!!!
